We understand that Mr Nick A Teen has an addictive nature, and you need to spend some time with him unwinding every now and then. But when you do so, please be considerate to others.
Strict laws govern where one is allowed to smoke in a public place, and all work premises are considered public places. For your convenience the trustees have allocated the areas around the fountains, and the terraced roves as smoking areas. They reserve the right to change these areas should they receive complaints from non-smokers. So please be considerate.
- Don’t smoke near open doors or windows.
- Don’t smoke in passages or corridors where others must walk through the smoke to get where they are going.
- Please use the bins / ash pots provided for the butts and not the flowerpots or floor.
- Please do not extinguish your cigarette against walls or on the floor.
With a little bit of co-operation, smokers can enjoy their “my time” and the non smokers need not be troubled by them. And very importantly, we can save Peter and the cleaners a lot of trouble and stress, if they don’t have to pick up butts. Thanks so much for your help in this.
The Trustees.
